The scientific activity of the department is carried out in two directions within the framework of R&D:
1. Development of a model of pharmaceutical competencies in the treatment of type I and II diabetes mellitus in the context of reforming the health care system of Ukraine (supervisor MD, Professor PI Sereda).
In Ukraine, during the introduction of medical reform, structural changes are taking place in the field of health care, a new state system of providing the population with medical / pharmaceutical services is being built. One of the components of the change strategy is a new vision of the role of the pharmaceutical specialist in this system, namely the extension of pharmaceutical practice to primary care and pharmaceutical services in the treatment of diabetes mellitus (DM). Today in Ukraine there is no screening of the incidence of diabetes, no system of lifestyle management of patients with this pathology, their rights are not protected, there is no scientifically sound analysis of the state and effectiveness of care and assessment of the impact of comorbid conditions on diabetes.
Under these conditions, it is extremely important to conduct research in terms of expanding pharmaceutical practice in the pharmacy and beyond in the treatment of type I and II diabetes, analysis of medical and pharmaceutical services in primary care, development of a model of pharmaceutical competencies based on comparative analysis of modern science. and practices regarding screening, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diabetes in the context of health care reforms in Ukraine.
2. Research work "Research of career development and continuing education of masters of pharmacy at the Higher School of Medicine" Kyiv Medical University "(supervisor Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Management, Clinical Pharmacy, Drug Technology, MD, Professor Sereda PI .). This research is planned and implemented in terms of continuation and development of research work carried out at the university (03.2019 - 31.12.2019): "Research of career development and further professional training of pharmacists-graduates of Kyiv Medical University" (state registration number: 0119U101017, research supervisor of the GDR, MD, Professor Doan SI).
On the topic of research work, the staff of the department published articles and abstracts at scientific and practical conferences.
