Medical Faculty

The faculty has: 67 teachers, including 13 doctors of sciences, 11 professors, 32 associate professors, 33 candidates of sciences. Among the teachers: 3 Honored Workers of Science and Technology of Ukraine, 3 Honored Doctors of Ukraine.

This pedagogical composition of the faculty allows to develop and implement the latest technologies, methods and scientific developments, promotes effective educational and medical process. Based on standard curricula, each department has created optimal for their conditions thematic plans of lectures, practical and seminar classes, which are coordinated and approved by the cyclic methodological commissions of the faculty.

Most of the departments of the faculty have published Ukrainian-language textbooks and manuals for students, as well as created computer training and control programs in the relevant disciplines. All departments of the faculty are equipped with modern computer technology, which allows to widely introduce into the educational process testing the level of knowledge and practical skills of students.

Each department of the faculty is a research team that independently plans scientific work, which involves members of the student scientific society.

The specialists of the faculty carry out medical-consultative work in the basic departments of hospitals, polyclinics. In addition, they annually introduce dozens of new diagnostic and therapeutic methods into clinical practice, which improves the level of specialized medical care to the population of Kyiv and the region.

Educational bases of clinical departments are located in the largest medical institutions of Kyiv, such as Kyiv City Clinical Hospital G1, Central City Clinical Hospital, Institute of Neurosurgery of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and others.

The faculty creates all the necessary conditions to achieve the main goal - training a highly qualified doctor. Study groups are formed of 12-14 students, which makes it possible to individualize the learning process. There are 5 lecture halls (halls) equipped with modern demonstration equipment for lecturing. Practical and seminar classes with students are held in laboratory and thematic rooms, and clinical - at the patient's bedside and in the offices of functional, laboratory and instrumental diagnostics.
